Allen Cunningham

Allen Cunningham was born in 1977 in California.  In his youth he was introduced to poker by playing with family at the kitchen table.allen cunningham  At the age of 18 Cunningham was playing poker at a more serious level at local casinos.  He attended UCLA, but would eventually drop out of college like many other players to become full time professional poker players.

It took two years for Allen to finally make a breakthrough in tournament poker.  In 1999, he won 2 events at the "Legends of Poker", and made final tables in 4 other events.  From that point on, Allen seemed to catch fire and has not been put out over a decade later.

In 2000, he made 11 final tables a various events on the tournament circuit.  One of these would be his best World Series of Poker finish to date, when he was runner-up in a Limit Omaha Hi/Lo event.

The next year at the WSOP, Cunningham won his first career gold bracelet in a 7 card stud event.  Since then, he has collected 4 more gold bracelets, including his most current in 2007.  Cunningham's biggest tournament payday was at the 2006 WSOP, finishing in 4th place and collecting $3,628,513.

Cunningham was the 2005 WSOP Player of the Year.  The next year he came very close to earning that honor in back to back years.

Allen's 2007 WSOP gold bracelet was the 5th of his career.  It also put him in the company Doyle Brunson, Erik Seidel, Johnny Moss, and Gary Berland as the only players to win gold bracelets in 3 consecutive years.

Cunningham plays online poker at Full Tilt Poker as an officially sponsored pro, under the screen name "Allen Cunningham".

Allen is considered one of the best tournament poker players in the world.  Each year he is one of the favorites to win the Main Event at the World Series.
