Antonio "The Magician" Esfandiari

Antonio lived in Iran until he was 9 years old, when he came to the U.S.  He currently resides in San Fransisco, California.  Before starting his poker career, he was a well known professional magician.  He is good friends with fellow pro Phil Laak.

Antonio first entered the tournament circuit when the World Poker Tour initially launched.  His first tournament breakthrough was in 2004, making the final table at the WPT's Commerce Casino event.  In this tournament he won $1,299,135, making him the youngest player ever to win a million dollar prize at a WPT event.

Esfandiari is also an excellent cash game player, finding success in the high of stakes games.  He has played in many of these high stakes games, and recently has stared in the Game Show Network's "High Stakes Poker", among over poker superstars like Doyle Brunson, Daniel Negreanu, and many more.
