Johnny "The Orient Express" Chan

Johnny Chan is part of a very elite group of poker players that have won back to back world championships and 10 World Series of Poker bracelets. He was made famous

the world over when a clip from his 1988 final table heads up vs. Erik Seidel clip was featured in the movie "Rounders". In 1989 he was one hand away from becoming the first and only player to win three consecutive world titles, but fell short to Phil Hellmuth in their heads up match.

Chan was born in China in 1957. His family immigrated to the U.S. when Chan was six years old. His poker career began at the age of 16, when Chan first sat down at a table in Vegas (illegally) with $500. At the end of the night Chan left with $20,000!

Chan went to college in Houston, but before long he could not resist his desire to play poker and dropped out to move to Vegas. Many years later, with 2 WSOP titles, 10 bracelets, and countless other acheivements, it seems that Chan made the correct decision.

Chan is considered by many to be one of the most well rounded poker players. His Hold'em skills are excellent, but he also excels in Omaha and Draw Poker. Chan also plays in the largest high stakes cash game in Vegas, known as "the big game", which features the best professional players and millions of dollars can be won and lost on EACH hand!
