Mike Matusow

Mike "The Mouth" Matusow was born in Los Angeles, California, in 1968.  He currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Mike did not attend college, and took a job at the family furniture store and also worked as a poker dealer..  He began playing poker at 18.  He won 81 out of 82 sessions worth $250,000.

Matusow has always been one of the most successful professional poker players.  He has won over $4 million and two WSOP gold bracelets.  Mike had a great run in the 2005 World Series.  He made the final table at the Main Event, finishing 9th.  He then went on to win the WSOP Tournament of Champions, competing against some of the greatest poker players on all time.

Outside the poker room, Matusow has battled a drug and gambling problem, as well as depression.  He spent six months in jail on drug charges in 2004.  Fortunately, he has put these problems in the past, and has been drug free for 2 years.

Mike is known for playing well in tournaments, and then with one mistake losing all his chips.  This is well known throughout the poker world as the "Mike Matusow blow up".

Mike plays online poker at Full Tilt Poker, under the screen name "Mike Matusow."  He also plays at PokerStars under the screen name "mrpokejoke", and Ultimate Bet under the screen name "dill pickle"

Whether it is Matusow's wild table behavior and trash talking, or his aggressive style of play he is always fun to watch.
