Sam Farha

Sam Farha was born in Lebanon before immigrating to the United States to avoid his native countries civil war. Farha began playing poker after sam farhagraduating from college. In 1990, he decided to turn pro. He is most recognizable throughout the poker world for his trademark cigarette in his mouth while playing. Sam is a non-smoker, so this cigarette is never lit, but he says that it is his lucky cigarette.

Farha was made famous in the 2003 World Series of Poker, when he made it to heads up play versus Chris Moneymaker. He ended up finishing 2nd place. That same year Farha also took home a WSOP bracelet.

Recently Farha has been a regular player on the Game Show Network's "High Stakes Poker", playing against other top poker superstars.
